In this article, we will go through the main differences so you can make the right choice for yourself.

What is the difference between an e-bike and a regular bike?

The main difference is simple: an e-bike has a motor and a battery, while a regular bike does not. An e-bike operates with pedal assist, but the motor does not move the bike on its own; instead, it assists the rider and makes challenging sections like uphill climbs and headwinds easier. In the European Union, an e-bike's motor only assists pedaling up to a speed of 25 km/h. After that, the bike moves solely by pedaling, like a regular bicycle.
