Axis also includes two of the best lenses in the industry, premium VIVID lenses with ZEISS optics®. There’s one lens for sunny/changing conditions and one infrared lens for low visibility, so you’re always ready when conditions change.

EVAK VENT TECHNOLOGY - EVAK Vent Technology - found exclusively in VIVID glass models, uses a new foam made from a highly durable, moisture-repellent material. EVAK vents minimize the possibility of fogging by releasing moisture while providing protection against the weather.

EXPANSION VIEW (EXV) - TECHNOLOGY - This groundbreaking new frame design, perfected in Giro's test lab in Scotts Valley, California, offers unparalleled wide-angle vision. We started with a helmet-compatible goggle. Then we moved the frame edge down and added frameless zones to optimize the wide-angle lens, focused on the best possible field of vision in a goggle.

INJECTION MOLDED CYLINDRICAL LENSES - Injection molding a cylindrical lens helps to focus the optics and minimize distortion.

QUICK CHANGE LENS SYSTEM - Quick-Change Lens System - The quick-change lens system uses self-aligning magnets to help with lightning-fast lens changes. Four clips hold the lens securely in place.

VIVID TECHNOLOGY WITH OPTICS BY ZEISS® - VIVID is a patented lens technology - developed by Giro in collaboration with ZEISS® Optics - that enhances the visual experience on the snow by improving contrast and sharpness. VIVID lens technology effectively manipulates light by letting in contrast-enhancing blue light while blocking out harmful UV light. VIVID essentially filters out fog, freeing your eyes to see your line and focus on enjoying the skiing experience.
